Rev. Thomas Francis Dale was born at 2 Amen Court, London, England on Saturday 15^th July. He was baptised at St. John’s Reigate, Surrey on 13^th August 1848.

He was matriculated on the 29^th October 1867, aged 19, at Queen’s College, Oxford, receiving his B. A. in 1870, and his M. A. in 1874. He was Rector of Jarrow, co. Durham from 1874 – 77. He later went to India and was a Chaplain on the Indian Ecclesiastical Establishment of Armritsur, India from 1885 – 96.

He died on 13^th October 1923
